COSTA MAYA - MAJAHUAL

Our last dive site is Majahual, ten miles south of the Cruise Ship pier , a.k.a. Costa Maya. The rain has been all around us for most of this cruise. Mostly we have steered clear but, for a while, the dives in Costa Maya seemed to be in jeopardy.

Here comes the sun and we're off to our first dive site in our two dive boats from Blue Ocean Safari.

We descend on this huge barrel sponge. I hope we capture it on the video!

Soon after, we encounter this large school of blue tang.

A curious gray angel accompanies us for a good part of our dive. Nice to see a friendly face

We find this old veteran as our bottom time runs low. Careful now.

The water was a little murky, but the beach break was sure nice.

Soon we're heading off for dive number two.

Ya know, I don't think this is the same fish. Maybe his cousin?

A spanish hogfish and some creole wrasse make a nice picture.

This is our best photo of a dog snappper. Nice color phase.

But, it still can't beat the reds, oranges and yellows displayed by this shy squirrelfish.

This is getting spooky. Is he following us?

Sea fans, brain corals, and soft corals are everywhere.

Sorry, you can't come home with us. You don't have a valid passport do you?

One last sunset picture at the end of our last day in port. Our ship, the Valor, has a long haul back to Miami. Adios Majahual.
